◆ For guests coming by car: ・It takes about 30 minutes from the Joto exit of Hirosaki Station. ・From Aomori Airport it takes about 45 minutes. ・It takes about 10 minutes from the Kuroishi IC, traveling in the direction of Lake Towada. ◆For guests coming via the Konan Bus: ・From the Kuroishi Station on the Nurukawa-sen Bus (via Itadome) it takes about 25 minutes. |
About the Tsugaru Traditional Craft Center
You can see, experience, and participate in traditional Tsugaru crafts.
◆Artisans’ Studios (Tsugaru food, handmade senbei crackers, Tsugaru lacquerware, Northern artisans, Neputa, etc.)
◆Tsugaru Shamisen at the Jonkara Theatre
Visitors can enjoy live Tsugaru Shamisen performances at our theatre. Performances are held every week on Sundays and holidays, from May through October.
The first performance is from 11:30, the second from 12:00, the third from 12:30. and the fourth from 13:00.
Entrance is 200 yen for adults. Performances are roughly 15 minutes.
◆Foot bath (Pictured above, left)
Visitors may use the foot bath free of charge. (It is available for use from 11:00 ~ 14:30)
◆Restaurant Momiji (Pictured above, center)
From the local speciality Kuroishi Tsuyu-yakisoba (yakisoba noodles in soup), to curry made using Kuroishi apples, our restaurant has an extensive menu for you to choose from. (Business hours: 11:00 ~ 15:00)
