・One of Kuroishi’s treasures is Komise, an arcade that was built hundreds of years ago in the Edo period. It is considered both an “Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings” and as one of “Japan’s Top 100 Roads”.

・Kuroishi is a place where the simplicity of a more historic Japanese townscape can be experienced.

・There are onsens not too far from the city centre where one can relax and recover.

Kuroishi is also known for its specialty foods, Kuroishi Yakisoba and Kuroishi Tsuyu Yakisoba.
